Chair Massage (head and shoulders)
This massage focuses on ironing out tension in the neck, shoulders and upper back and is the ideal massage for when you’re short on time, in particular during lunch breaks. For many of us, our shoulders and neck are the area where we hold our stress, burdens and worries, so your therapist may use fingertips, knuckles, hands, elbows and forearms to release knots and areas of tightness around this area.
Aromatherapy massage is massage therapy with the addition of one or more scented plant oils called essential oils to address specific needs. The massage therapist can select oils that are relaxing, energizing, stress-reducing, and balancing. One of the most common essential oils used in aromatherapy massage is lavender. Aromatherapy massage is particularly suited to stress-related conditions or conditions with an emotional component.
Reflexology (foot massage)
Although reflexology is sometimes called foot massage, it is more than simple foot massage. Reflexology involves applying pressure to certain points on the foot that correspond to organs and systems in the body. Reflexology is very relaxing, especially for people who stand on their feet all day or just have tired, achy feet.
Swedish Relaxation Massage
One of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. But Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.
